The 1,000m

I'm currently watching the qualifying rounds for the 1000m short track. And Canadian Charles Hamelin's hair is all over the place. It's just all fanned out from under his helmet. He was also in the group with Apolo Ohno, South Korea's Si-Bak Sung and Chinese Jialiang Han. During the final lap, where only the top two go into the medals round, Ohno rocketed past Korea and Canada and won his spot from the outside. Sung and Hamelin battled it out for the second spot which Hemelin won by his skate's blade. When I say "battle," I mean Sung and Hamelin's arms were flailing at each other like kids in the backseat of the parents' car. "No, me first!" I'm not sure if that was interference. Probably didn't' matter. So the medal round will include Apolo Ohno, Charles Hamelin, and 2 South Koreans, Ho Suk Lee and Jung Su Lee.

Also, congrats to Shani Davis on his silver medal in the Men's 1500m in speed skating!
